Introducing Lauren’s Tableware and the perfect gift for mom!

Growing up, my mom nicknamed me her ‘little Martha’, after the one and only Martha Stewart. Almost every night I set the dinner table with cloth napkins, placemats and an assortment of tableware passed down from my grandparents and great aunts and uncles. We were really big on having dinner together as a family every night. Cooking with my mom was quality time for us to connect, talk about our day and be creative together. Then we got to enjoy a delicious meal with my sister and dad.

Whether I’m having dinner with family, friends or by myself, I still carry on this tradition of a well set table and home cooked meal almost every night. We spend so much time rushing around distracted these days, it’s important to have moments where we can relax, reflect and be in the moment. As a maker of furniture and housewares, I think a lot about the significance of the objects I design and build. My tabletop items are all about setting a mood and enhancing the atmosphere of gathering, but they’re also about creating memories. Every time you light a candle and let the wax drip down over the wood candle holder, the object is imprinted with a memory.

It’s moments like this that inspired me to create my new offering: Lauren’s Gift Boxes.
